About Us

Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Texas helps consumers source high-quality, locally grown foods directly from Central Texas farmers and ranchers. Find farmers markets, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs, farm stands and farmers near you on this site’s category pages.

The Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Texas chapter formed in early 2015, to create a cohesive and impactful campaign focused on reaching consumers with easy to find information about qualified farmers and markets. That information is readily available via this website, printed local food guides, and signage that certifies a farmer or farmers’ market.

The Buy Fresh Buy Local Central Texas chapter formation and launch is facilitated by the chapter steering committee, with guidance from the Sustainable Food Center and funding from the United States Department of Agriculture, Farmers’ Market Promotion Program.
